The Reds maintained their lead at the top of the Premier League table on Saturday with a comfortable 4-1 win over Ipswich Town at Anfield thanks to goals from Dominik Szoboszlai, Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo (x2). The win kept Liverpool six points clear of second-placed Arsenal with one game in hand.
Arne Slot’s side are back in action on Wednesday night when they travel to the Netherlands to take on PSV Eindhoven in the final group game of the Champions League. Liverpool have already confirmed their place in the knockout stages of the competition.
Away from on the pitch matters, the January transfer window remains open which means that new arrivals and exits could still happen before next week’s deadline. Liverpool continue to be linked with players, including Milos Kerkez and Jamie Gittens, while there is still talk over the future of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mo Salah.

Mohamed Salah negotiations
Egyptian outlet Masrawy say that Mohamed Salah has turned down the latest offer of contract extension at Liverpool.
According to the report, the player wishes to commit his future for at least two, perhaps even three years, though the Reds’ policy is to cautiously carry out such business with those entering or already in their 30’s.
With Salah in particular, offering a multi-year deal with the same terms he is already on is the stumbling block right now.
Night to forget for Mamardashvili
Liverpool will have one arrival in 2025, that is a guarantee. Thanks to the deal made last year, goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili is on his way from Valencia in the summer.

According to Corriere dello Sport via TEAMtalk, Liverpool could scupper Napoli’s hopes of signing Karim Adeyemi by making their own move for the Borussia Dortmund attacker this month.
The report claims the Reds are watching the German star with a view of capitalising on the situation. However, it is not specificed whether they would wish to begin their assault this month or in the summer.
Napoli have also been linked with a move for Man United’s Alejandro Garnacho, though appear to have been priced out after a first bid was made.
Tottenham handed fresh injury concern
Tottenham have been handed a fresh injury worry as Richarlison was forced off during their 2-1 home defeat to Leicester.
